Rental Counseling Workshop

NWRHA provides information, counseling, education and assistance to renters, homebuyers and homeowners. Clients should schedule a Housing Counseling Session if they need help locating affordable housing. Counseling sessions cover the following topics:

  • How to find a suitable apartment
  • Credit report review
  • Tenant rights and responsibilities
  • Landlord rights and responsibilites
  • Budgeting and money management
  • Education on eviction and grievance processes
  • Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Housing
  • Information on rental subsidy programs and how to apply
  • Referral to fair housing services
